Dr. Rasean Hodge, M.D.

Very rarely would a patient be blessed to find a doctor who not only possesses the academic excellence to achieve medical success, but the compassion needed to comfort the suffering and the ill. Rasean Thayer Hodge is definitely, one of those rare physicians.
A native of New Jersey, Dr. Rasean Hodge worked tenaciously as his Manalapan High School’s linebacker and yet still managed to graduate in 1993 as Salutatorian. Dr. Hodge was awarded the Presidents Physical Fitness Award and Mayor’s Certificate of Award for outstanding Civic Contribution. He also received the Young Achievers Award from the National Organization for Professional Advancement of Black Chemists, and the Chemical Engineers award, from Brookdale Community College Program, for Acceleration in Careers of Engineering.
Dr. Hodge received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, graduating summa cum laude from Morehouse College in 1997. He earned his medical degree, cum laude, from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, graduating in 2002 and completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine from the Morehouse School of Medicine in 2005.
Upon completion of his education, Hodge matriculated into Family Medicine and also served as Investigator on numerous clinical research studies, aimed at making the human condition better for those who are suffering. Hodge assisted in the research for a proposed inhaled insulin, preventing and treating diabetic neuropathy, Type 2 Diabetes prevention, Small Pox vaccines, and hypertension.
His compassion for those in need continued to be evident as he has lead several Hospice Programs throughout Georgia as Medical Director. Volunteer and Community Service are important to Dr. Hodge as he dedicates countless hours giving back to the community – throughout the United States as well as internationally. He works with organizations such as Missionary for the Poor of Jamaica, STOP (Student Outreach Program) Health Clinic, Continuity Clinic with HIV Positive patients, Health/Sex Educator at Leap Academy in New Jersey and is also an educator for Healthy Love for women living with AIDS in Atlanta, GA. As recognition by his peers, Dr. Hodge has been granted numerous awards for his endless hard work and dedication. Included in his honors are the Diversity Education Excellence Performance Award, the Urban Health Initiative Honors, and Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities.
Dr. Hodge is licensed to practice medicine in Georgia and holds the following licenses as well:

- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Dr. Hodge is also a member of the following prestigious medical organizations: Co-President of Family Medicine Interest Group, Resident Alternate Delegate for the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, American Family Physician Association and the Student National Medical Association. Currently, Dr. Hodge serves as Medical Director and General Practitioner with Premier Chronic Pain Care in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Hodge loves spending his spare time with his family – his lovely wife and two children, and has set two of his several future goals to one day be an international missionary.
