David Garrison is an advocates advocate. As a two-time cancer survivor (in 2010 he survived fourth stage colon cancer and in 2013 metastasized lung cancer) he has developed 2Lean on Me – an organization dedicated to patient advocacy and empowerment through counseling and resourcing via actionable information. Through his guidance, lobbying and experience – David seeks to empower patients with qualifying conditions. 2Lean on Me is in the grass root stages of building the first patient4patient “growing opportunity” in the south – ENVISION GROWOP.
David has worked in the entertainment business for 25 years and has produced and promoted nearly 600 events through Garrison Entertainment Group and its subsidiaries. Garrison Entertainment promotes the Great Atlanta Pot Festival. David’s range of entertainment experience and exposure is vast – from talent management and development, public relations and promotions, to event coordination and operation. A lifetime entrepreneur, David owns additional businesses such as The Great American Soup Company, Inc. . David has a BS in Political Science/History from Kennesaw State University. He participates in a wide variety of civic activities and speaks on behalf of the American Cancer Society. David is also recognized as the first adult medical marijuana permitted patient in Georgia.
